Simple Steps to Good Oral Hygiene

Even if you have a busy lifestyle, here are some simple tips from The American Dental Hygienists’ Association to help you establish and maintain a good oral hygiene routine:

Brush your teeth for two minutes at least twice daily (reduces plaque build-up and the risk of cavities and gingivitis).

Floss to remove plaque and food particles under the gumline and between teeth.

Rinse your teeth each day with an anti-microbial mouth rinse.

Chew sugar-free gum (Orbit® sugarfree gum is one example) after eating to stimulate saliva production, which neutralizes plaque acids, remineralizes enamel and washes away food particles.

Remember: “Brush, Floss, Rinse, Chew”!
